2018 CALENDAR OF EVENTS –
January begins on an awesome note with the “Light of Day Winterfest.” A concert series that runs for 10 days from Friday, Jan. 5 to Monday, Jan. 15 and is culminated by the momentum building Asbury Underground Art and Music Crawl, held on Saturday, Jan. 13. Both events were extremely successful!
NEXT UP is the Asbury Park Beerfest held at Convention Hall on Sat. Jan. 27 at noon and 6 pm and Sun., Jan 28 at noon. Tickets are $40 in advance / $45 the day of the event and can be purchased at The Stone Pony box office or through Ticketmaster.
New this year was the Asbury Park Women’s Convention, held at The Paramount Theater on February 24th, 9 – 2. This event was a huge success! It was full of valuable information with many guest speakers, along with a Q&A session. It was well attended by women from Asbury Park and surrounding areas. We’re hoping to see it again next year 🙂
The 4th Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Sunday, March 11 and begins at 1 pm on the corner of Ocean and 5th Avenue. The parade continues through the downtown and up Cookman Avenue ending at City Hall.
Garden State Film Festival finally comes home to Asbury Park after a 4-year stint in Atlantic City. The Film Festival will run from Thursday, March 22 to Sunday, March 25. Weekend passes are $50. For tickets or more info visit www.gsff.org
The traditional Easter Day Parade will be held once again on the boardwalk beginning at Convention Hall on Sunday, April 1st; 1 – 2:30 pm.
The Jersey Devil Film & Event Festival makes its debut in Asbury Park on April 6th & 7th. This new event is a small homegrown festival created by Asbury Park’s Paranormal Books and Curiosities that will be dedicated to folklore, storytelling, and film of this legendary creature. The festivities will begin on Friday, April 6th with a Jersey Devil Film Festival at The Showroom Cinema.
The debut of the Cat Convention will be held in Convention Hall on Sat., 4/7 and Sun 4/8.
Mayors Rodeo For Recreation will be back at the Stone Pony on Thursday, April 19th; a fundraiser for summer camp and programs for Asbury Park youth.
Asbury Park Music and Film Festival will be back again for 3 days this spring beginning on Friday, 4/27 to Sunday, 4/29. for tickets: http://www.apmff.org/festival-tickets/
Monmouth County Spring Home Show will be in Convention Hall in April, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, (dates not yet posted).
