Creating success in the work place with the use of color…
Color is an energetic vibration. These vibrations of energy flow throughout everything in the universe, even through our own body. According to Albert Einstein are bodies are made up of swirling atoms. These atoms are actually rays of colored light. When we align the color that is connected to the physical part of our bodies and the emotional characteristics that are attached to it with an environment or space that we spend a significant amount of time in we can perform to our optimal ability.
For instance, if you work for a company that has a creative aspect to it, such as a marketing or advertising firm, a graphic design company, or even a greeting card company. The people who are doing the creative work in that organization would perform best in a setting decorated with shades of orange and blue. Not only do these two colors complement each other, which is the most pleasing color palate, they are colors that enhance creativity because they inhabit the areas of our body from where we create. Orange resides in the area of our reproductive organs and is active creativity, ‘doing’. Blue resides in our throat area and is connected to our expressive creativity; speaking, writing, and self expression, which makes creative communication the focus of this color energy. If you are a creative company in the communication industry, blue with accents of orange would be a good color combination for that setting. Many companies are familiar with this approach to color and use suitable colors in their logos, but then fail to take that concept further and utilize it in a way where their employees perform to the best of their ability. Color with paint is such an inexpensive way to decorate, yet many companies provide nothing more than a vanilla box with the worst possible lighting, energetically speaking, for their employees to work in.
Color is connected to every aspect of our physical and emotional makeup. Learning how and why color affects us and the inspiration we receive from the colors that surround us is both nourishing and enlightening. Don’t miss the last of this 3 part series focusing on Color.
