Last night was the 3rd annual Babes in Business women’s entrepreneurial conference, organized by Jennifer, “Jenn” Chavez and held at Porta in Asbury Park. The night was lively, informative, and inspiring, with three guest speakers and tons of life lessons shared.
Nina Moorer, a cosmetologist for 27 years, had a life altering experience and is now a dazzling and strategic marketer and the CEO of Bling Again & Co. An excellent speaker with great energy and a clear message, she provides women with strategic tools and programs that cultivate personal and professional growth. You can find her on Instagram at @blingagainco.
Our minds need to be like a parachute, they need to be open in order to land in the right place. You deserve to live a life of abundance. Create a system to be successful. It takes time and effort. You have to have a ‘why’.

Liz Murphy, the second speaker, goes mostly by ‘Red Bank Red’ because of her ruby enhanced locks. She is a fitness and food coach for women. Her company is called DoBodywork LLC. You can find her on Instagram at @redbankred. Red shared a story about a job she hated, an unhealthy body image, and struggling to find her way in the world.
She decided to take a break from her job and found herself, one step at a time, in a new career that she loved and is now building her brand and her bank account.
You must believe in yourself and invest in yourself in order to achieve transformation both physically and mentally.

Last but not least on the speaker roster was Caryn Ross, a business coach, speaker and author of The Key to Being a Highly Successful Woman. She calls herself the “aha igniter” because her mission is to ignite women entrepreneurs. You can find her on Instagram at @caryn_ross.
Key factors to success are leveling up your business and yourself. Put a system in place for every step of your business. Every day document one step of your business until the entire process is documented. And don’t always feel you need to be perfect.

There were lots of inspiring words shared last night by many. After the panel was over the women broke into groups, we shared some of our own inspiring stories and advise, and had a networking pow-wow.
More inspirational words from the speakers:
“Give yourself permission to fail. Failure is the classroom of success. Every failure brings you to another level of success. Allow yourself to make a mistake and learn from it. There’s something that we need to learn in the process and if we don’t learn it, we end up having to start over.”
“Be open to changing your life. Your subconscious controls your life. What you think about and how you feel, sets the pace for your day. It’s important to align your personal and professional goals.”
“Don’t go into self doubt. Doubt is created by the expectations of others. We judge ourselves by how others perceive us. Self-doubt comes when we feel others don’t see us as successful. Judge yourself by your own passions, successes, and goals.”
The most empowering message: self-love. “You are never going to be successful if you don’t have self-love. Taking care of self and loving yourself is of utmost importance.”
