As the Coronavirus continues to spread, finding its way into our backyard, here at ASBURYinsider’s Weekender Edition, we find ourselves taking pause. Should we be posting events that may possibly be canceled? Should we be updating you on what’s not happening? I don’t think that’s what this blog post is meant to be.
We certainly don’t want to contribute to the current unrest, nor appear cavalier about this serious situation. So, this is what I want to say to my readers, my friends, and my family.
Let’s not panic, we can live our lives as long as we take precautions and follow what the Center for Disease Control is advising.

We all know if you feel sick, even if it’s just a cold, stay home. Be mindful of others, and protect yourself as well.
As long as we continue to do the things necessary to keep this thing at bay, the sooner we can go back to our normal way of life.
A message from Dr. George Schwartz MD
This Coronavirus has a long incubation period, so it is very difficult to tell who might have passed the virus to you. This virus differs from the flu in that it can affect lower respiratory tract causing pneumonia and air hunger.
The best way to get through this crisis is to try one’s best to self quarantine avoiding crowds and using Purell liberally, (20 seconds of rubbing hands together) and frequent hand washing and no touching the face. Such an effort will slow the spread of virus to yourself and others.

We’ll check back with you soon when hopefully they’ve got a handle on this COVID-19 thing. In the meantime, I’ll be bingeing through my Netflix queue, working in the garden, and continuing to be your Asbury insider. Be sure to check the website for updates.
Everyone stay safe out there!
